MARIUS LIDDLE

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP MANAGER

Marius is a proud Arrernte man living on Kaurna Country, where he has lived since 2003. Having grown up in the Riverland, Marius values the inclusion and diversity of regional representation in the economy and regularly visits his family who are still living there.

With close to 15 years’ experience working in the South Australian Government, Marius has a deep understanding of the mechanisms and relationships of the public sector, while at the same time appreciating the vital role of public-private-community sector partnerships. With a focus on achieving mutually-beneficial outcomes, Marius is an engaging collaborator and project partner. His work in the State Government included successfully developing and managing First Nations employment projects in targeted growth industries, regional and remote First Nations housing asset program support, and policy development through a cultural and commercial lens. Marius is proud to deliver complex problem solutions through a culturally informed lens.

In 2018, Marius moved into the private sector where he led the recruitment, training and business regionalisation of a growing First Nations NDIS organisation. Following the successful delivery of that project, he then established his own business and worked directly with organisations as a consultant. With a strong focus on First Nations employment, business development and process improvement, his influence in First Nations business sector has seen business growth and diversification for clients such as Nood Australia, We Create Print Deliver and Tauondi Aboriginal College.

As an engagement specialist, Marius has worked with diverse audiences to ensure authentic representation and a strong stakeholder voice in the reports and projects he has managed. Examples of this can be found in his recent work with regional First Nations organisations such as Umoona Tjutagku Health Service and Yadu Health Aboriginal Corporation, where community input is helping to shape a community-led decision making model.

His entrepreneurial focus has afforded diversification within his own businesses, and he recently brought to life his passion project, Drivera Leasing and Hire. Complementing his personal interests in vehicles and motorcycles, Drivera is a natural progression for bringing his unwavering passion for motor vehicles to a broader audience.

A strong advocate for development and improvement, Marius enjoys challenging himself and is currently studying a Masters of Business Administration at the University of Adelaide. Marius also co-authored an academic article recently, ‘Examining the Effectiveness of Culturally Safe Mental Health Interventions on the Wellbeing of First Nations Youth: A Systematic Literature Review’, which aligns with his view that cultural safety must be properly represented in mental health services for First Nations youth.

A proud father to his children, Isabella and Sebastian, Marius enjoys spending time with his family and exploring regional areas.
